Installing Fedora 7 on Virtual PC 2007

Has any one been able to get Fedora 7 to run under Virtual PC 2007? It installs and appears to run, but the screen is corrupted... the characters are somewhat fuzzy at the top and there's a band of color midway down the screen. X hasn't started yet (and I tried changing the bit depth to 16 and starting X and the screen was blank.)

Same problem booting off the live CD.

It appears that there is some disagreement between Virtual PC 2007 and how the specific hardware is sensed.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated....

Unhappy re

you have to use urn boot.iso cd then you can chose network of NFS installation. Virtual PC don' have dvd boot option. try if you can boot it from dvd. No CD is bad part of fedora. In fedora repo, Everything folder they mixed everything. Some of the fc6 stuffs are also lying there.

I'd recommend NOT using VirtualPC2007 and instead use VMWare Server (It's a free download). Linux support is MUCH better with VMWare over the Microsoft product...as you would expect.

The player and server are completely free (and both excellent)
