Goto System ->Administration ->Network, select your wireless card and select "Edit" and uncheck the box for "Activate on boot" and add a check mark to the box "Allow users to enable / disable device" and save it. Do the same for the "wired" device also. Next goto System ->Administration ->Services" and put check marks in the 2 NetworkManager Services and save it. Also do it runlevel 3, and reboot the computer. You should have a new icon on your top panel, left click the icon and select your Access Point.....

k, well, i got it working. only problem is, DHCP doesnt seem to work, i have a windows desktop running ICS at home to share my dialup....

anyway, bottom line, DHCP has to be off on my router, and it doesnt recognize my desktop as a DHCP server. now on the other windows machines, i have the same problem, but windows lets me set an alternate static ip, if it cant find one via DHCP, which works because if i go wardriving, itll pick an an ip via DHCP, and still connect to my home network fine

so basically, i need something like that setup for fedora now, so i dont have to switch back and forth between dhcp and static for both my wired and wireless

need help
