2.6.22.1-27.fc7: hard drive ATA bus errors

Does anyone have an idea of why I might be continually getting these types of drive errors logged (using 2.6.22.1-27.fc7). I have two hitachi drives.

I get that kind of stuff on sata drives when copying a lot of data.
If I do 'hdparm -t /dev/sda' the speed stays consistent even though the thing says it is setting to a lower UDMA number.
These might not really indicate a problem, especially since it says 'soft resetting'.

I have SATA300 TX4302 controller.
I saw some chatter on lkml about them trying to collect more info about error messages that they don't know why they are happening.

It does look like the errors are of no consequence, but must be the symptom of some problem.

I'm using two IDE drives, not SATA, and I get the same situation with both drives under load.

Do you think I should post a report at bugzilla.kernel.org concerning this?

I ended up creating a bug report at redhat about it....

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla....cgi?id=250349

If you believe it is the same problem, DO add comments to the report!
