Open Arena Garbled Sound

I just installed Open Arena yesterday. Graphics are good. Sound isn't. I don't know whats wrong with it. Is it my game, or is it just my system? If you need to know I'm running Fedora Core 7, and my card is a Sound Blaster Live! Thanks

Your buffer is too small for the samples... Maybe you want to add something like the following to a file in your home called .asoundrc (if it doesn't exists, create it):

Code:
pcm.default{
        type hw
        card 0
        buffer_size 4096
}
Assuming the Live is the default, that should be enough.

Thanks, but I fixed it by turning up the music and sound in the options menu all the way to 100%
