Please Help ! Fedora 7 no longer boots

Hi All;

I've been running Fedora 7 on my IBM thinkpad for about 3months with no issues. Today I attempted to go into single user mode by pressing 'a' at the grub menu and adding 'single' to the boot command.

When I tried to boot with the 'single' flag Fedora booted to this point:

"Uncompressing Linux... OK, booting the kernel.
Red Hat nash version 6.0.9 starting

Then it just hangs forever.

Now even if I try and boot normally I get the same behavior !

Any help would be very much appreciated...

chances of you getting a good response is higher....

Did you try pressing ENTER just in case the login prompt was hidden by messages?
