Beryl & Googleearth

Just downloaded and installed the latest version of GoogleEarth with the SKy Vie. Very nice but unfortunatley it doesn't display properly when I am using Berly as my Window manager. The screen flickers and googleearth tries to be on top at all times.

I am addicted to beryl so need to fix this. I am running Fedora Core 6 and my graphics card is a generic onboard intel card.

Thanks for any help!

If it's a java/(swing) application you need to patch your JRE (Java runtime environment). The wiki at http://www.beryl-project.org/ seems to be down so if anyone has the instructions for the patch would post them.

I have been trying to find a fix for the beryl, swing issue as well. Going to Java 6u2 did not help and my swing apps still display as a grey screen. It's really not a huge issue, as you know switching window managers temporarily corrects the problem. I'm just addicted to beryl and would like to run it all the time. If there is a fix available, if someone could post the specifics (As the beryl wiki is down). It would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Can I do that for Fedora 6? I guess I would have to download binaries rather than using yum?
