Arrow Firefox closes after I created a pointer in Plugins directory

Hi there
I just installed a fresh copy of Fedora 7 KDE live.
I followed the instrctions from the www.java.com website on how to enable JRE IN Mozilla.
After I created a symblic link to the JRE plugin, firefox would automatically close if I open any webpage that requires java.

Did anyone have this problem?
how can you help?

In your JRE install, which I'm assuming was from the jre-6u1-linux-i586.bin package, there are two flavors of the libjavaplugin_oji.so file that you can point to.

Quote:
/usr/lib/java-1.6.0/jre1.6.0_01/plugin/i386/ns7/libjavaplugin_oji.so
/usr/lib/java-1.6.0/jre1.6.0_01/plugin/i386/ns7-gcc29/libjavaplugin_oji.so
Make sure you pointed the link to the ns7 branch and not the ns7-gcc29 branch. I'm not certain that this is your problem, but it may be.

Paul
