Cool desktop resource window?

Hi, I'm just wondering if there is a really cool resource tracker that can be put on with the desktop... I don't know what those are called... anyone know of any? thanks!

well Wayne can you get gkrellm in yum if you can please tell me the code an what is this download for like what does it do ?

I went to the gkrellm.html, like this features. Can we just use the yum command to download/install it in fedora 7?

yum install gkrellm

Works for me I did say it was in the repos

Edit: If you use:

yum install gkrellm-themes

you'll pull in the main proggie plus a load of cool themes. Also look for other plugins, as mentioned.

Great Wayne Thanks a lot.

I saw this system monitors and such a nice themes on some live CD such as DSL but i didn't know how or what to install to got it!!!

Yes, Nickisgod1 good to know that conky do the same job, yes. I didn't know that.
i saw that conky is also supported by yum and here is the URL :

I really like these... but are there ones that are built onto the desktop? like the one used on Damn Small Linux?

I remember going nuts in DSL trying to get rid of the conky window but not knowing what it was called I couldnt lose it. I just installed it and yes, it is the same one and it actually is pretty cool. I am just not into monitoring anything but for those who are I would think conky would be a great option, maybe even less obtrusive than gkrellm. Maybe a tad hard to figure out how to configure but "man conky" will give you the basics. Yeah, not too bad. Didnt know about that one.
