Question Emerald theme manager not working?

Hi,

I'm sorry to post yet another thread on this topic, but I've read what's already here and can't figure this out.

I have all the Compiz-Fusion bits installed from the standard repos. Compiz Fusion itself works fine (this is with an Intel 945 gfx chipset). I also have Emerald Theme Manager and the theme package installed.

I've unchecked Use Metacity Theme in System/Preferences/Look and Feel/GL Desktop. In CCSM, I've got emerald --replace entered in Window Decoration in the Command text field. (And if I uncheck Window Decoration, my title bars disappear, as expected.) But changing themes in Emerald Theme Manager doesn't make my themes change, unless I first enter "emerald --replace" in a terminal.

Any ideas???

Thanks!

SF

Emerald theme manger not working;

I am also having the same problem. It is very annoying and I have been googling all over to find a solution but nothing works. Compiz fusion works perfectly but there is no option of switching from Metacity to Emerald in the compiz configuration panel.

Has anybody come up with a solution yet?

Keep up the good work.

My problem was when I installed fc8 it just used a generic driver for my
video card (Intel mobility).
Once I slected the proper driver everything has run smoothly.

What? Where are you finding a "GL Desktop" in System/Preferences/Look & Feel? I think I'm still missing something. The basic Compiz cube works for me, but I don't see any ability to change skydomes, choose "no endcaps", adjust transparency, or any of the other tweaks that I found in Ubuntu. Are there more packages that I need to track down? Where does one look for these things (yes, I"m very new to Fedora ....).

TIA!

MORE: In Emerald Theme Manager > Theme Settings, when clicking the "Fetch Non-GPL'd thems" button, it instruction the user to open the console and run the following shell command (I assumed in root user mode):
But bash reports "svn: command not found". So, I assume there is some workaround to installing that repo?

"svn: command not found".
I know this is an old post, but in case anyone also gets stuck....
you have to install subversion.
as root type the following in bash:
yum -y install subversion
