Is there some way to play downloaded flash video? What about flash games?
I find it irritating to have to deal with buffering video/games everytime I want to look at them. Also, the flash player in firefox64 isn't totally stable.

That is ineffective. Stuff that plays fine when embedded won't work at all just opened with firefox.
I just tried vlc and totem-xine again. Now they both play flash videos.
I could have sworn that there was some sort of problem before...
