ATI 3D support?

I Have a Radeon x1300 Card, intel P4 1.8 Ghz. Running Fedora Core 8.

I installed the Lvina repositories and using the Add/Remove programs graphical interface, I added the frglx driver for my x1300.

I get nice high resolution support for my monitor, but when I try to run EverQuest 2 under WINE I get pixel shader errors - this was consistent with my last linux install before I found a nice driver for my graphics card. I assume the same thing is happening here - that my current driver/Configuration is not giving me 3D support.

How do I make sure I am getting 3D/Pixel shader support with my x1300, and what do I need to configure to get it working on my system? I have been looking through a lot of information, but at this point I am just very confused....

thanks in advance!
