Colour change for the menu
with the pannel at the bottom of the screen, you can make it transparent, so the background image comes through. Can this be done with the main menu?

When you click on Properties, there should be 'background' where you select a color, but also has a slider for transparent/opaque. In my case, I used white and the shading you see, because I wanted to be able to read the black type on the right side (smack dab in the trees).

Im new to the program as well, so i dont know much, im guessing going by my screenshot you mean the white menu bit at the top left, which is blue really just that its been highlighted, so its the highlight bit you need to change in panel, just keep messing around with the settings etc.
