Sound works with some apps, not in others...

Not sure whether to post this in software or general.

I have FC8, a fresh install, and added mp3 support. Certain applications like Audacity work fine, and I can listen to mp3s or use xine. But there's no sound at all in Firefox videos, like Youtube or whatever. None of the obvious volume controls I've tried affect the sound at all (like KMix) and I've tried playing around with some of the PulseAudio settings to no avail. Lastly, a few hours ago the videos on Youtube or CNN _did_ work. But they don't now.

Thanks for any and all suggestions, or things I can do to further sleuth the problem. I'm running a dual-core Dell Inspiron 530, with FC8 installed via a Live CD.

libflashsupport fixed it...

I isolated the sound problems and figured out it was exclusively firefox videos that had the problem. A "yum install libflashsupport" was the magic wand that fixed it. Yay!
