Sound locks to one application

My sound card is a Creative Audigy SE.

If I play music with Audacious and then decide I want to view video on YouTube, there's no sound. Because of Audacious playing sound, I need to restart or reload the drivers manually to allow another application (in this case, Flash Player) to use it.

It's not just YouTube and Audacious causing the error, it's every program that plays a sound.

How to fix?

On F8 to get PulseAudio to work with Flash install libflashsupport.

All the involved applications should probably use alsa if their output can be configured.

libflashsupport is already installed. I don't think you realized my problem.

When I play sound in Audacious and then decide that I want to view a video in e.g VLC media player, there's no sound in the video because of sound being locked to Audacious.

To solve this I have to reload sound card drivers manually or reboot, which is very annoying. Why is this happening and what can I do to fix it?

EDIT: Also when I first boot Fedora, I need to manually reload drivers (in system->administration->sound card detection) to get ANY sound.
