Add/remove software problem

First of all i'm so happy that i have installed Fedora Core because its design is so good
But i find many problems using Fedora COre
1/what's the equivalent to yast in fedora
2/when i open add/remove software i find an error message
unable to find software inforamtion.this could be caused by not having network connection
and then when i cliqued to details i obtain this message
cannot retrive repository meta data respond.xml please verify the path ....

3/i want to acivate the samba server and SWAT.is there any icon like in suse

the equivalent to yast is yum

I recommend installing yumex (via yum..... as root, yum install yumex) which gives you a nice GUI.

Add/Remove is pitiful, yumex (or kyum) is the way to go

As for GUI samba tools, they're all there in the menu, I forget where exactly because I only use it once every year and they keep changing the darned location LOL. If you're running KDE they may not appear in the GUI, just type system-config-(tab) and something will auto complete that sounds right
