wget split download

Does wget have a way to split a download to multiple parts and download the parts simultaneously like flashget?

Since I have no idea what flashget does, but I suggest you type
man wget
man curl

at a terminal.

i suspect the answer is "no".

No. If you want that functionality, install 'aget' from DRIES repo: http://dries.ulyssis.org/rpm/packages/aget/info.html
