Question A problem regarding F7 x86_64 with VMware

Hello,

Is it possible to use Fedora x86_64 if I use VMware under 32bit windowXP? I am not familiar with the mechanism of VMware.

Thank you very much!

Hello:
No sure why you are asking your question here, as there is no relationship between VMware and this forum ?

I would think that you would have better results looking through the FAQ's etc. on the VMware site for the product that you are using. http://www.vmware.com/ or having a scan through one of their forums. http://communities.vmware.com/index.jspa

Failing that, why not just try and install it and see how it goes.

Cool Vmware

Hi this is my first posting on this forum so Hi!

You could use 64bit fedora on 32bit XP *IF* the processor supports hardware virtualisation.

I had a 64bit OS running on my HP Pavilion laptop running 32bit XP Home edition, The vmware player allowed the guest os to see a 64bit cpu, rather than a virtualised 32bit one.

Sorry if this upsets some people. *IMHO* It's a valid reason to post here as he's asking about running linux 64bit.
