I have a a 64 bit AMD machine running Fedora 7 64 bit. It was running fine however after a recent power outage i am unable to boot X and only get a prompt. The X version is standard for fed 7 being:
X Protocol Version 11, Revision 0, Release 1.3
The graphics card is:
nVidia Corporation NV37GL [Quadro FX 330/GeForce PCX 5300] rev 162
In the /var/log/Xorg.0.log file the only flagged error messge is:
(EE) AIGLX: Screen 0 is not DRI capable
and at the end of this log file the following message occurs:
Backtrace:
0: X(xf86SigHandler+0x6d) [0x49d92d]
1: /lib64/libc.so.6 [0x372fc30630]
Fatal server error:
Caught signal 11. Server aborting
The log file is attached if it helps anyone with ideas.
I have removed all the lock files in the /tmp directories and subdirectory to no avail. I was running a VNC server on :1 when machine was ungracefully turned off could this have contributed to the problem?
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
