installing rpms without yum

Just like it says. I have Fed 8 64bit 2.6.23.1-42 and I am trying to download wifi drivers for it:

http://livna-dl.reloumirrors.net/fed...vn8.x86_64.rpm

and

http://livna-dl.reloumirrors.net/fed...vn8.x86_64.rpm

Now how would I install these? (I cant use yum so dont even ask)

Answer: use yum
Download the RPMs and: yum --nogpgcheck localinstall kmod-madwifi-2.6.23.1-42.fc8-0.9.3.3-9.lvn8.x86_64.rpm kmod-madwifi-0.9.3.3-9.lvn8.x86_64.rpm

OR, better yet, use rpm, cause it'll fetch the packages for you (since you already have the IP addresses):
rpm -Uvh http://livna-dl.reloumirrors.net/fed...vn8.x86_64.rpm http://livna-dl.reloumirrors.net/fed...vn8.x86_64.rpm

The reason I am downloading network drivers is because I can not access the internet with fedora. I can not do it wired (its not an option for me) and I am trying to get the wifi ones to work at least. I have a PCI wg311t card.

This is why no yum...So how can I run these? I have downloaded them and put the 2 prm files in my home dir.

Hello:
If they are the only 2 rpm packages in your /home/username directory, then

rpm -Uvh --nosignature *.rpm

Seve

Edit:
Sorry Nokia, didn't mean to post over you ... lag

I wasn't sure which to do so I tried both...

[root@localhost ~]# rpm -Uvh --nogpgcheck /home/*/*.rpm
--nogpgcheck: unknown option
[root@localhost ~]# rpm -Uvh --nosignature *.rpm
error: Failed dependencies:
madwifi-kmod-common >= 0.9.3.3 is needed by kmod-madwifi-2.6.23.1-42.fc8-0.9.3.3-9.lvn8.x86_64

Sorry, that should have been
Code:
 yum localinstall --nogpgcheck /home/*/*.rpm
You also need to download
Code:
wget rpm.livna.org/fedora/8/x86_64/madwifi-0.9.3.3-1.lvn8.x86_64.rpm

Sorry again for the second thread. I really do know better. I was just a little frustrated...Ah and I learned so much. A great experience with many more to come. Day 7 of linux. And all was quiet on the western front...
