graphics problems - lenovo 3000 n200

Just installed from x86_64 dvd and am a bit dismayed. I tested off of live cd first and everthing worked outta the box (aside from fingerprint scanner).

Anyhow, something is very wrong with graphics - check the screenshot....

Any ideas? Perhaps I shouold install from cd? Sorry for spelling can't see screen properly!

must have been a glitch. all that was black should have been white. rebooted and it is ok now. phew, though desktop effects can't be enabled.
