Here is a brief run down of my problem, running Fedora 9 final:
Everything was working just fine until I hit 'CTRL-ALT-BKSPACE' now since that happened, GDM runs and brings up the login screen just fine but after I enter a user and pass and hit enter to log in, it acts like it's going to start like normal, but then I just get the default GDM wallpaper and a mouse cursor. It does not matter who I log in as it's the same issue. So then I decided to try starting KDM and it works fine for all users, I can log in and get to work.
So whatever the issue is it's isolated to GDM in some way, but for the life of me I cannot figure it out. I even uninstalled GDM and then reinstalled it and it still did not fix the problem which leads me to believe that there is a conf file that needs to take a trip to the circular file, but I have no idea which one it would be. Any and all help is appreciated.
If you need me to post any logs, more than happy to do so, just let me know which ones.
