KDE 4 Panel won't save changes in Fedora 9.

Greetings. I installed the new Fedora 9 today and, eager as I was to try KDE 4, I started fixing the panel set downwards. The problem is, that whenever I log in again, any changes I make to this panel (adding new widgets or application shortcuts to it, etc) seem to get lost. Anybody know of anything I could do about it? I tried removing the folder .kde as instructed here but apparently that folder is non-existent for me.

Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

~/.kde is a hidden folder (the "." signifies hidden), so to see it, set your file manager view settings to allow viewing of hidden files/folders. And check the permissions on your home folder to make sure that you have read and write access.
