Fedora 9 in Hp Pavilion tx1000 (tx1232la)

Hi everyone,

I am a home user of Fedora 9 (not newbie, but without any kind of programming skills).
I have a Hp Pavilion tx1232la, from the tx1000 series.

I had written a blog with the installing solutions of Fedora 9 for this computer, although the blog is in Spanish it can be very helpful because I post direct solutions. When I have some more time, I will make the english version of it, although my english isn't that good.

The adress is: http://tx1232lalinux.blogspot.com/

I would be glad to receive some comments about it.

Greetings !

Constrictor

I'm using Ubuntu 8.04 but I'm thinking about trying out Fedora 9, so thanks for writing this.

I have Fedora 9 on my tx1218, now I ran into two problems.

1 - The onboard ethernet cannot pick up its IP via DHCP on its own on startup; I have to manually down and up eth0
2 - The newest nvidia proprietary driver would die on shutdown, rendering the screen completely black and taking the text console with it. Have to user power button to shut down.

Both tried with stock F9 kernel (a custom 2.6.25), custom compiled but vanilla 2.6.25, and 2.6.26 kernels.
