Bluetooth connectivity from laptop

I could not able to connect to blue tooth device (sony Ericson's k850i)
Getting the following error

[root@localhost ~]# hidd --connect 00:1E:45:XXY:ZZ
Can't create HID control channel: Connection refused

where to enter the auth. password ? .. Any body tried this before

Please suggest any alternate tools to connect from KDE 3.5 fedora 8

thanks in advance

I installed Kbluetooth and used its configuration to get it working with my mouse. Didn't have any problems, it was recognised and I added it as a trusted device and it works every time now. Make sure the Bluetooth service is running too.
