Nautilus is crashing alot

Hi,

I have this realy annoying problem when sometimes the nautilus crashes. I had the same problem with the file-roller so I removed it. but the problem still exists in other things such as when I move a file to a directory which contains a file with the same name - it crashes giving me the error:

Code:
Application "nautilus" (process 9286) has crashed
due to a fatal error.
(Segmentation fault)
I have no idea what is wrong - when I use the terminal these problems do not occur so I guess its a configuration problemin gnome.

please tell me what to do...

Shlomi.

OK I am thinking I should upgrade my gnome.
I saw two options : download the rpms and install them all - or download the source and build it from scratch. the problem is both are painful. the rpms are mixed up and I need to select and download the relevent ones and I don't have a clue for building it from scratch.

what is the best way to simply upgrade gnome?

Thanks in advance.
Shlomi

We had someone else in here with weird nautilus problems, have a look at the thread and how we managed to get to the bottom of it: http://www.fedoraforum.org/forum/showthread.php?t=18296
