Verbose Shutdown

Hi,

Whenever I shutdown my computer, the X closes and I just go to the text-mode login screen, then it waits for a couple seconds then shuts down. How do I get it to show all the services and whatnot it's closing while it's shutting down? I'm running F9 on a Dell 710m.

Thanks

Checking the man pages for both 'poweroff' and 'shutdown', neither offer an [-v | --verbose ] option. Lacking that, I don't see how you can get anymore shutdown info than is already displayed.

The last version fedora I used was FC6, and it included the verbosity by default. Is just seeing the text-mode login screen normal when using F9?

I should have known better to respond to a thread where the issue is with F9. Sorry. I just moved to F8 from FC6, and the verbose textual shutdown info is the same in both. A lot is new and changed in F9, and other than from what I read here on the Forum, I haven't a clue as to what is 'normal' with F9.
