XAWTV Errors

I am running fedora 9 with nvidia geforce go 6700 on an xps m1210 laptop. I am trying to get a K-World PVR-300u working.
Currently I'm trying to get xawtv to work, though I'm not even certain that it will support the PVR, but, one problem at a time.

When I attempt to run xawtv, I get the following error:

X Error of failed request: XF86DGANoDirectVideoMode
Major opcode of failed request: 136 (XFree86-DGA)
Minor opcode of failed request: 1 (XF86DGAGetVideoLL)
Serial number of failed request: 67
Current serial number in output stream: 67

I have also attempted to run xawtv -noxv, but I receive the same error.

Anyone have any thought?

~Thanks in advance!

I'm not familiar with xawtv but the errors look like driver problems. Which driver are you using for your nvidia card?

'kay, I updated everything I could, and have since gotten XAWTV to actually execute.

Next problem: it can't/won't recognize my pvr-300u

By examining the options, I'm assuming it would be listed under the channel editor.

Any ideas?

Thanks again in advance!

I'm specifically trying to get the composite cables to work, which are converted into the s-video input on the usb tv-tuner.
