Red face yum update ERROR (file conflict)

Hi there,

I am a pretty newbie for Linux. I got a problem when I tried to do yum update and here is what it said.

this is from the hyper terminal when i do yum update:
--> Finished Dependency Resolution
geronimo-specs-compat-1.0-1.M2.2jpp.12.i386 from installed has depsolving problems
--> Missing Dependency: geronimo-specs = 1.0-1.M2.2jpp.12 is needed by package geronimo-specs-compat-1.0-1.M2.2jpp.12.i386 (installed)
Error: Missing Dependency: geronimo-specs = 1.0-1.M2.2jpp.12 is needed by package geronimo-specs-compat-1.0-1.M2.2jpp.12.i386 (installed)

I also tried update from the GUI;

And this is from Gnome update GUI:
Local file conflict between packages

Two packages provide the same file. This is usually due to mixing packages for different software sources.
More dtails:
Test Transaction Errors: file /usr/share/java/avalon-logkit.jar from install of excalibur-avalon-logkit-2.2.1-0.r508111.3jpp.noarch conflicts with file from package avalon-logkit-1.2-5jpp.5.fc9.i386
file /usr/share/java/jms.jar from install of geronimo-jms-1.1-api-1.1-4jpp.noarch conflicts with file from package geronimo-specs-compat-1.0-1.M2.2jpp.12.i386

Anyone has an idea of what is going on and how to solve please kindly let me know.

Thx in advance,
newbie
