side buttons on tc1100

so I have a tc1100, I almost have everything working. What still eludes me is the side buttons (Q,tab, esc, jogdial)
xev only shows keycodes for jogdial press(enter,30) and for a hidden button (ctrl+alt+del) that shows keycode 31

Have you considered firing up your web-browser and going to google then typing in the search box: tc1100+linux+buttons.

I did. Seems to be quite alot of links to follow where others have already figured this stuff out.

no, in all the results the buttons work without configuration, the ones they try to make work are the ones that are activated by the stylus. Anyhow, i'll keep trying
