Multi Named Samba server

Hi.
I have a 2 Samba 3 servers and need to consuladte into one and then need to give it two dns names so as data is migrated users can use both names to access the server using both the new and old hostnames...

I have tryed "netbios aliases" in smb.conf but when accessing it via the one of the hostnames i get a username password box, were as it works using the other name.

I have created a cname in our DNS server and this didn't help.

the server is running FC6 , samba 2.0.24 and winbind to autenticate to a windows DC..

so is it posiable to give it two hostnames, or do i put in another net card and set the hostname different on both..

calvin
