I recently performed a yum update on a machine, and now the network connection doesn't work.
The network connection dialog shows the interface is active, but I can't ping anything, or bring up any website in Firefox. The interface uses dhcp, and it's being assigned an IP address.
I've tried deleting the network interface (eth0), restarting, and re-adding the interface. I've tried flushing the dns cache by restarting ncsd. I've confirmed that the machine's ethernet cord is fine by plugging it into a separate computer and confirming it provides internet. I've tried looking in the error logs, but I can't find anything relevant.
Why/how would a yum update have destroyed this machine's internet connection, and how can I fix it?
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Chris
