Lenovo T400 + Advanced Mini Dock + Extended desktop?

Hi,

I've got a t400 with the intel only option. When connected to my advanced mini dock, I can only seem to do mirroring with the internal lcd and the external lcd on VGA on the dock. I want to do extended desktop. When I open the screen resolution preference, I can select non-mirrored and select the proper resolution for the external monitor, but it does not take effect. The only way I can get the external display to work is to use mirrored mode, which stinks.

Has anybody encountered/fixed this before? I'm running Fedora 10, x64, with all the latest updates. Latest BIOS (1.19) on the laptop.
