Restoring a formatted EXT3 partition

Hi:
I have mistakenly deleted an EXT3 partition and formatted as NTFS.
After restarting, I have the following message, thet prevents to continue booting-up my system:
Volume Group "VolGroup00" not found
Unable to access resume device (UUID=331be956-dcb0-4499-8dee-e1b884ddf587)
mount: error mounting /deb/root on /sysroot as ext3: No such file or directory
I know it is an enormous mistake, but what I need is a solution, not indoctrination

I think you already know the answer here. Hope you have your Linux install disk handy.

reinstall fedora and move your backup data back on to the drive .You do have backup dvd's,ext.drive,tape?

Restore is not an option, you really made a BIG blooper.

restore "no" recover some ( maybe???) some files might be possible
if you have not overwrote that part of the drive with new files then some tools might be able to find *.jpg,*.png,*.pdf,*.avi,... files but putting the fragments together ???

has some tools that ( i give a 5 to 10% chance) of finding things ,more than a intact *.jpg or *.odt file here and there

Thanks, it now has some meaning.
I think "System Rescue CD" is not perfect, but is a fantastic tool.
