Fedora 10 doesn't restart

I have just installed Fedora 10 on a new Dell Optiplex. Everything looks ok, except it does not reboot correctly. Press reboot, X shuts down along with all the other processes and daemons. It gets all the way to the last message "Restarting system" (or a message to that effect) and it just sits there. On any other PC I have installed Fedora 10, at that point the system would restart.

Does anyone know why it will not reboot?

No, I haven't done that. When I installed, as part of the installation I stated, get latest packages from the Net which it did. I didn't think to try a update after the install too. I will give your recommendation a go tomorrow, cheers.

Bad news, the update has still not fixed it.

I did a search and it was recommended that you need acpi=on on the kernel boot line. I thought this option was the default these days. Anyway tried that too and still my PC fails to restart.
