Intel x4500 G41 video support in FC10?

I have a GA-EG41m-2sh Been trying to get the intel driver to work out the DVI-D port on Ubuntu.
Gave up on Ubuntu after a week of beating on it. Going to try it with Fedora.
Started late last night. Couldn't get the Live CD to run, so I'm not off to a good start.
Any words of wisdom? Am I chasing my tail?
Eventually, this will replace my aging MythTV master backend...
Only seven hits on x4500 and five on G41, searching these forums so I'm not optimistic.

That didn't take long...
Looks like Fedora is even more screwed up than Ubuntu.
Won't install from CD.
Won't install using the no media 'kernel /vmlinuz...' in grub method.
Install from USB? Either have to have Fedora already installed to install and run the creation tool, or a windows box to run the exe's. How silly is that?
Off to find another distro... bye!

There are known issues with Intel Graphics Chips and Fedora 10
You might like to try this post: http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?t=207320
( HowTo: Installing Fedora 10 on machine with old Intel video chipset )

I can't tell you if it will enable you to use the DVI-D port, but it might help if you are having problems doing a basic installation

Thanks for the reply!
I saw that thread. This is not an old chip. G41/x4500 is the one of the latest.
Also saw dozens of "how do I symlink /dev/root/" questions from others who got the error during install. Didn't find one explanation about why it happens, what it means, or how to resolve it, just a lot of finger pointing at hardware.
