Huawei c506 cdma phone modem

I had a previous post about this issue some time ago, now I am using Fedora 10 and the problem is still with me. I connect to the internet with a CDMA phone via usb. This setup works fine in Windows but to get it work in Linux is a real nightmare to me. I have searched the internet for any guide on how to configure this particular phone but always come up frustrated more or less. When I plug in the phone to a usb port and do a dmesg I see it as attached to usb3-1, nothing more. I try to do a wvdialconf and the modem is not seen at all. If I could get this to work that would mean bye bye Windows, as this is the only reason I still use Windows now. If anyone has come across or knows any guide to make this work, I would be eternally grateful for such information. I'll be checking this post for replies.
Thanks everyone.
