Question Trouble to find the kmod version for installing nvidia driver

Hi everybody,

I am using Fedora 10.

I want to install the nvidia driver. My graphic card is GeForce Go 7400 0x01D8.

I could not find the version of the kmod.

Would anyone please tell me the version of kmod that I should install?
and tell me what I should add at the end of this line. su -c 'yum install kmod-nvidia????'

Best regards.

Go to the 'Read This First' Forum or click on the link above for the FedoraFAQ and make sure you've set up RPMFusion as a repository. You can follow the simple instructions there for getting it installed. Basically, you've got the right words, but perhaps you haven't updated your kernel yet? I'd do a yum update and then give it another try. Perhaps 'yum clean all' to freshen things if you still have a kernel mismatch.

Heck, I'm using the kmod-nvidia (standard, for 'new cards') for my 6200. You guys should be fine.
