device driver help

Hello,

I need to install two modules that I have written. One is a device driver, the other is a /proc entry. I am running fedora core 10. I can do the /proc manually through using a mknod and insmod combo, but I am confused about the /dev entry.

Most importantly how do i do this automatically?

Thanks in advance!

If you use the same command to load the items then add the command lines to /etc/rc.local file. Besure to use full path to each command.

For the /dev, see: man MAKEDEV
Another case of a man page written by an expert who expects whoever is reading to already know how to use it. Yeah, right. I have used this in the past, successfully, but don't ask me how to now.
