PS/2 mouse and keyboard lock up randomly

First, let me say that I am new to the world of Linux.

I just recently installed Fedora Core 10 x86-64.

I am having problems with the fact that my PS/2 Mouse and Keyboard suddenly and randomly stop working while I'm logged in and using the system. The only way to fix the problem is to reboot the computer. My USB deviceds (a wacom pen tablet) are immune to the problem.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Do you need to know any specifics about my particular hardware setup? Any other questions need to be answered?
