A few general questions

Ive had fedora 10 running my wind for a couple of days now and ive noticed a couple of things.
  1. How do i set the proxy in gnome to ignore entre ip ranges, like in firefox where you put 10.1.2.0/24 in the proxy ignore list and it ignores the proxy for all 10.1.2 adresses. (Would be even better if it could do it for all 10.x.y.z) adresses
  2. How do i get the picture i set as my "profile picture" to appear int he face browser on login?
  3. when i installed f10 on my laptop i got a nice sun with solar flares coming off it for my boot screen instead of the line moving accorss the screen, is there anyway to set it to use the sun?

I can answer (3) for you really quick. That's the new Plymouth boot process made to make things faster and prettier. Unfortunately, it is only pretty on particular video card setups. Mileage will vary between computers.

(1) Have you tried System > Preferences > Internet and Network > Network Proxy and set address ranges in the Ignored Hosts tab?

(2) I've never bothered with face browser, but GDM (which manages graphical login) is being completely re-written and is still missing a few features at the moment, so that may be why.

(3) As posted above, Plymouth does not yet support a wide range of video cards by default, although future versions will expand support. See this thread. You may also need to search this forum for "plymouth graphics" and search Google for your particular VGA mode.
