inmediate Post install problems, booting into fedora core

Ok, so here's the lowdown, i installed Fedora Cora 1, de one that the iso images says yarrow on them. It installed ok, i installed it custom, and installed it with most of the packages and made the partitioning of the disk automatic.
After it finishes intalling, and is time to reboot, when it comes back up again, it gives me a command line prompt that says grub>
so last night with the help of a guy in the fedora chat i tried different things like trying to load the kernel manually wich didnt work, and also when i type root it says something like file system ext2 using whole disk which isnt true i presume because the disk has 3 partitions.

so after trying some more stuff, i gave up and made a new clean install, but i still have the same problems.

its running on a AMD Duron 900mhz system with and ECS motherboard and 256 MB of sdram, with a 10GB disk.

any ideas?

I#ve never had the experience of downloading bad iso's, but this almost sounds like the media is bad. When you downloaded the iso's did you check the md5sums on them?

are you dualbooting the machine?

Did you have another OS on the HD before you installed Fedora?
