Exclamation Problem with Add Remove Software?

Hi all,

I install fedora 10. But I don't have internet connection, when I Run add or remove software nothing listed and I couldn't remove any package.
And when I want to add any rpm package, my fedora does't install that.

How can I add or remove software in fedora without internet connection.

Thanks.

Assuming you have the RPM of the software that you want to install through other mean in your harddisk, to install you can use rpm or yum command.

# rpm -ivh software.rpm

# yum install software.rpm

To remove:

# rpm -e software.rpm

# yum erase software

Hi,Weitjong,
When I use yum it doesn't work, for example I have:
[root@HOST ~]# yum install anjuta-2.24.2-1.fc10.i386.rpm
Loaded plugins: refresh-packagekit
Could not retrieve mirrorlist http://mirrors.fedoraproject.org/mir...a-10&arch=i386 error was
[Errno 4] IOError: <urlopen error (-2, 'Name or service not known')>
Error: Cannot retrieve repository metadata (repomd.xml) for repository: fedora. Please verify its path and try again

How can I fix my problem?
Thanks

If you aren't on the internet you will have to use the installation DVD. There are detailed instructions on this website

Just use rpm.

Or if you really have to use yum then you have to first disable all the yum repos. You can do that either by setting all the configuration files in the /etc/yum.repos.d to have "enabled=0", or invoke the yum command as below:

# yum --disablerepo=* install software.rpm
