Gnome Screensaver doesn't activate in XFCE

Right Now, I using Fedora 11 xfce spin i686 it seems gnome-screensaver will not activate when the computer is idle. However it does activate when gnome power manager kicks(suspend) in and when I type the command gnome-screensaver-command --lock. Anybody know how to solve this?
