F11 + Fingerprint Authentication

Hi all,

I am trying F11 out and so far so good in most areas. One thing that worked out of the box that previously hadn't for me was fingerprint authentication. I simply enabled this with "About Me" in Gnome and off I went.

Using the fingerprint authentication leaves me with an additional "annoyance". Once I have authenticated with the fingerprint, the default keyring asks me to authenticate for it (using my password that I would otherwise have used to authenticate). This pretty much nullifies any advantage of simplified sign-on provided with fingerprint authentication as I still have to enter the password afterwards.

Is there a way that I can automatically grant access to the default keyring if I authenticate via fingerprint? If I could this would give some benefit to the alternative authentication back but as it currently stands no benefits are being realised.

Cheers.

Hi,

IIRC, this is a gap that still needs to be addressed. I am not sure if a RFE is filed already but feel free to file one if it doesn't exist.

What's an RFE? I read all of http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/BugsAndFeatureRequests and everything it links to but found not a single use of the acronym.

How does one submit an "RFE" as opposed to a standard bug report?
