I just updated my kernel to the newest one (2.6.8-1.521). It shows up fine in my Grub manager. Gives both the regular kernel and the SMP. When I select either one, they both hang up during the boot process. The regular hangs up after it loads the File Swap. The SMP loads, but then hangs when it tries to detect new hardware. Both cases end up with me having to reset manually. I can still load up the 2.6.5-1.358smp kernel. That's what I'm running right now, but I'd like to get the newest one running so I can hopefully update my ATI drivers. Any clues of what's going wrong and how to fix it?
