I'm not sure I understand your question. If you're using linux, you have access to a terminal without using a browser. If you're not using linux, there's still command-line in Windows which allows you to use DOS.

Anyway, what exactly are you trying to accomplish and how would you expect an online terminal to interact with linux?

Edit: However, check out this page: http://online.software.informer.com/...-terminal-ssh/

I think the thread opener wants to state that:

An browser based online terminal, i.e: if a person wants to use the linux terminal and doesn't have Linux with him/her, the person can login into a website and access a linux terminal, where he can do his work using Linux commands.

The effect is, no installation required, yet access to a linux m/c from home. Something like doing a telnet into another linux m/c without using any software like telnet, but only an Internet connection and a browser.

PuTTY to a linux machine at home via SSH? That's the first thing that came to my mind.

Funny, I read that more along the lines of a "TERMINAL" that runs linux and is open to a web browser, i.e. for use in a library.

It's a browser based linux interface.

If that's not what you meant, then

try wubi or cygwin
