How to Install Fedora 11 x64 in Hyper-V Server 2008 R2 Correctly ?

Hi guys,

I installed Fedora 11 x64 in Hyper-V Server 2008 R2, and found some questions.
1. I pick the " Lagecy network adapter " in Hyper-V Server 2008 R2 Host OS, and
guest OS(Fedora 11 x64) finds the hardware. It gets ip from DHCP server successfully.
But when I ping other ip in subnet, it does not work. I also install other linux distribution like RedHat Enterprise Server 5.4, CentOS 5.3, Ubuntu 9.04 , the network work quickly and fine. So, what is my problem ? Does The Fedora 11 have an effective driver ?

2. Can anyone tell me how to install Integration Service on Fedora 11 x64 correctly ?
I was successfully install it on CentOS 5.3, and run it accuratly, but the same procedure does not work on Fedora 11.

Thanks a lot !!

Best regards,

There are some other reasons that exist for not being able to ping than a driver or installation incompatability.

Plain, regular, run-of-the-mill good ol' network troubleshooting may be a more useful area to look closer into . . .

so what does ifconfig command say for what is configured . . . ?
Code:
# ifconfig -a
and then there are firewall issues as well . . . among other possibilities.

But it sounds pretty simple, and not really related to the Fedora installation, imho.

Good luck.

I've been fighting the same problem for 2 days and just ran across this thread. I had to use the Legacy Adapter, as you did. It worked beautifully the first try. I was not able to make it work any other way.
