Profile pic in Login Prompt
Is there a way to include a profile pic within the GUI login prompt for Fedora 11?
I have the profile pic set in the "About Me" configuration page, and this will show up in my toolbar in the upper right hand corner, but when I log out and go to select my login name from the list of users within the login prompt, I don't see my pic, just the generic user picture.
Is there a way to set this? I have multiple users using this machine. It would be nice if they can just visually scan for their picture to login with.

What's your login manager?
If it's KDM: select "Login Manager" from System Settings if you're running KDE, or run `kcmshell4 kdm` from a terminal. Under the Users tab, you'll find options on the right-hand side for images. By default user's profile pics should be shown if they exist, and system images if they don't.
If you're not using KDE, your login manager is probably GDM. There's probably a manual for it somewhere...

Using Gnome with F11 the picture does not appear at the login screen. Using Gnome with F12 it does, although both were setup the same way.

Put the picture you want it to use in your home directory with the name .face and it will work:
/home/systechguy/.face
Mine is a jpg; don't know what other formats it handles.

I did a search over at the Gnome help forum and found this:
Start gdmphotosetup from commandline.
[You may have to use yum to install it first; the poster over at Gnome just assumed you'd have it.]

[root@Fedora12dw32 GoinEasy9]# gdmphotosetup
bash: gdmphotosetup: command not found
[root@Fedora12dw32 GoinEasy9]# yum info gdmphotosetup
Loaded plugins: presto, refresh-packagekit
Error: No matching Packages to list
Oh well, ..... Don't you just hate when that happens?

Sorry; I hadn't noticed that the posts were from September, 2005. Things Have Changed. Try going to http://gnomesupport.org/forums/ and asking there. Don't expect an answer quickly, but somebody might eventually get back to you. If so, let us all know. Good Luck!

I appreciate your help, but this is just eye candy, and, by the time I would figure it out F12 will be here and it will be working. If I do come across something in my travels though, I will post. It actually took a couple of reboots to see it in F12 when I discovered it, just logging off and back on didn't work. It is nice though when it shows up during login.
