bluetooth issues

Edit: 1) bluetooth applet seems lost on Aspire One - gnome-bluetooth is installed, bluetooth is checked in startup application but no bluetooth icon shows up and can't find any way to get it restored.

2) on macbook - bluetooth connects with Centro - Centro asks for pin and both show trusted device. But from Centro - it asks for virtual serial port ? then if I continue it says port already in use (though no other bluetooth device is connected) From macbook - I only get to send files, not recieve (and I'm trying to download photos from the phone

3) on macbook after connection made, browse files option brings up dialog with no devices shown

okay bluetooth is still missing on the AAO netbook

on macbook [SOLVED] I finally read that I had to enable personal file sharing - I clicked to allow recieving files and to be notified - then on my Palm Centro I simply clicked on photo, clicked to send via bluetooth - clicked to my computer as a trusted device - then it immediately transferred - siimple! .geez can't believe I wasted like 2-3 days playing with pilot-xfer and bluetooth. But now I'm sold on using bluetooth.

Maybe because AAO doesn't HAVE bluetooth?
