Fedora 13 after install Grub not loading.

So, I am trying to install fedora on my semi aging PC. It installed fine and prompted me to reboot. So I did, but then as soon as it tries to load the grub menu, it gives me the following error: no such device: 2cb414b7-7620-48a9-93af-f03aec3495e4

How do I restore grub and make it work? Right now I am using the livecd to type this.

I do not really need the grub loader since I am only running one OS, which is currently fedora. I recently had Ubuntu 10.04 which did not have grub (at least it is not shown during the boot) and suited me more than fine.

You can try changing the root=UUID... parameter in your kernel string in /boot/grub/grub.conf with the partition name where you have / (root) installed. You do need a boot loader of some sort (grub or lilo) to boot into your system

Is there just a way that I can simply reinstall grub using the livesession/cd?
I see that fedora does not like sudo being used while using the cd...

Yes, you can. Someone had a similar problem. But in that case grub had been zapped by a windoze installation, so it was not salvageable. In your case, I would try updating grub.conf first.
